April and Spring are finally here! We will be announcing a spring cleanup day in May where we spread mulch and clean the lodge property. All assistance is appreciated. We are having a finance committee meeting on April 8. 2026 to discuss the dues and the cost to run the lodge and building. Our dues are the lowest among NH lodges, but building costs keep rising. We’ve invested in the building and lodge to reduce monthly costs, but prices have risen as we try to become more self-sufficient. The cell phone tower pays us about $2300.00 a month but building costs are increasing. Can we continue at the current dues level? The Building Association may reduce Lodge rent from $6,000.00 to $5,000.00, which would help, but long-term, it's essential to maintain both the lodge and building. We need as many people as possible to discuss lodge issues and dues costs. Please note that the Grand Lodge charges us for each member, with this fee increasing by 3% annually. Right now, dues are $112.00 but will increase 3% every year. Raising dues to $150.00 per year will make sense for several years, we’ll be able to cover Grand Lodge assessment increases and not have to address constant dues votes every year. We’re not a profitable organization, but we are trying to stay at the break even point. Please come to the meetings if you have questions or issues about raising dues costs. Thank you. W.M.
